In the event of hospitalisation, we furnish the necessary payment guarantees on behalf of our clients. In consultation with the doctor in attendance, SOS’ doctor ensures the casualty receives the best possible treatment. If the patient requires repatriation, our doctor decides the time and the means of transport. SOS also has a great deal of experience accompanying patients.
In addition, SOS assists the patient's next-of-kin with hotel bookings and transportation. And we assist with paying out emergency cash to travellers who are victims of theft or assault, for example. If a traveller dies whilst abroad, SOS takes care of preparing a coffin or urn and prepares all the complex documents associated with a fatality. SOS also undertakes transportation home for the deceased.
