Batch Billing is a tool that minimises administrative costs for SOS and the supplier – thus keeping our customer’s claims costs down.
Batch Billing is based on SOS’ knowledge of medical facilities all over the world – especially with regard to price, quality and reliability. SOS enters into fixed agreements with selected medical facilities whereby up to three consultations/treatments of travel insurance policy holders can take place without prior reporting to SOS.
Once a month, SOS receives invoices from the medical facilities together with medical reports, travel plans and documentation of valid insurance.
A Package Price agreement can be entered into as part of a Batch Billing agreement. This is based on SOS paying a fixed price per patient per diagnosis – no matter where, when or how many times the doctor attends the patient.
This billing model ensures prompt treatment of the patient and means both SOS and the supplier always know how much the treatment is going to cost.
